Professional Educator Portfolio
This online portfolio is a short collection of materials I have selected to document, summarize, and highlight my professional growth and experiences as a teacher. It is constantly changing and updating to reflect my teaching practices and assists in developing my strengths as a teacher as well as focusing on areas in which I need to improve.
Like teaching, my professional portfolio integrates information from several areas, rather than relying on a single snapshot. It is my hope that this online documentation will demonstrate how teaching and learning should be considered in their appropriate context, which in my case changes by content field, class size, and grade level.
The purpose of my portfolio is to provide an in-depth perspective to my educational attributes and styles. Just as teaching approaches vary, student learning styles vary as well. With keeping in accordance with specified learning targets and standards, this portfolio summarizes my awareness of best professional practices that facilitate active student learning. The subheadings, to the left, highlight and explain my specific strategies and approaches to prioritizing, enhancing, and assessing student learning that results from my teaching.
